Nanydjaka

Nanydjaka is a Lamamirri homeland, located at Cape Arnhem. It features a large geyser where water blows up through an opening in the rock. According to the custodians of the clan, Nanydjaka is the sacred land of the ancestral Whale Mirinyuŋu, and the geyser represents its breathing through its blowhole. Nanydjaka was also a resting place for the Djulpan (Seven Sisters) on their journey.
